Access 2003 and all its new properties, it includes many new
features requested by customers and our innovative staff. The latest
releases are:
- Version 11.0 for Access 2003
- Version 10.5 for Access 2002
- Version 9.5 for Access 2000
with these enhancements:
Global Enhancements
- Compares Access objects in Access Data Projects (ADP databases) in addition to Jet MDB
databases
- Enhanced display of data comparisons with improved filtering and
reports
- Enhanced display and filtering of property
differences
- Case sensitive detector to find capitalization differences
- New professionally printed 94 page user manual
Merge Data Differences Between Tables
Combine data differences between two tables into a
new table with options to select the source of the new and
modified records
Database Comparison Enhancements
When comparing two databases (as opposed to two objects in one
database), these features were added:
- Total Access Startup
launches the Database
Comparison database with the correct version of Microsoft Access
even if you have multiple versions of Access installed on your
machine.
- Comparison results can be exported to a table in a separate
database.
- Previous versions of Total Access Detective did not support
comparison of password-protected databases. This version supports
comparison of tables, queries, modules, and data access pages, along
with database level items like references and relationships between
databases protected by a password. Support for databases with
workgroup security remains.
- During object selection, each Table Relation is listed as a separate object
that can be included or excluded from comparison.
New Reports
- Database Comparison Summary: Provides an overview of the difference
between two databases.
- Objects with Differences: Shows objects along with their number of
properties and code differences that were detected.
- Data
Differences Summary: For each keyed table with data differences,
shows the number of new vs. modified records, and a list of
non-keyed tables with data differences.
Report Enhancements
- Previous versions showed a separate Data Differences report for each
pair of tables. This version consolidates Data Differences data into one
report.
- The Data Differences reports show new/modified records for keyed tables,
or the first changed record between non-keyed tables.
- Report headers display the date and time that the comparison was
created (previous versions showed the date and time that the report
was printed).
- Report footers display “Page N of M.”
Compare Conditional Formatting Properties
Conditional formatting allows you to format the contents
of a control in a form or report based on one or more conditions.
Previous versions did not compare conditional formatting properties.
See the
product guide for a complete list
of features.
