Introducing Total Access Memo

Total Access Memo offers Microsoft Access users and developers the ability to add rich text format (RTF) fields to their Microsoft Office 365/Access 2019, 2016, 2013, 2010, 2007, 2003, 2002, and 2000 applications. The Total Access Memo control can be bound to any memo field, including fields that already contain text. Total Access Memo ships with a full-featured editor, which allows complex formatting and editing of rich text memos in your Access database.

Total Access Memo includes a royalty-free runtime distribution license. This allows developers to distribute applications with Total Access Memo controls to users who do not own the product (please see our license agreement for more information).

Microsoft Access Bitness

Since the 2010 version, Microsoft Access/Office is available as a 32-bit or 64-bit program. Total Access Memo is an ActiveX control which is either 32 or 64-bit, and needs to match your Access version's bitness. Both 32 and 64-bit versions of Total Access Memo can be installed on the same PC. You need to make sure the one that matches your Access version is installed.

FMS has designed Total Access Memo to support both 32 and 64-bit versions of Access so that you can add either to your Access form or report, then deploy it to other users who may be running Access with a different bitness.

Getting Started with the Trial

The Total Access Memo Trial includes a sample database that shows the features and benefits of the program. Open the database and see how the Total Access Memo control displays rich text format memo fields for viewing and editing on forms, and printing on reports.

To open the Sample database:

1. Install Total Access Memo
2. From the Windows menu
   1. Total Access Memo, Sample Database
   2. For Windows 7 or earlier: All Programs, FMS, Total Access Memo, Sample Database

While we designed Total Access Memo to be as easy to use as possible, you should spend some time familiarizing yourself with the basics before using it. To do this, use the user manual or Help file that comes with the product. You can access Help from the program by pressing [F1], or by going to your Windows Start Menu, Total Access Memo, Help.

Install the Trial Now

To install the Trial version of Total Access Memo, determine which version of Access you are running and follow these steps.

Download the setup file for your Microsoft Access version and bitness:

1. Run the setup program and follow the steps to install it on your computer (you cannot install it on a network drive).
2. Be sure to read the contents of the README.HTM file installed by the above setup program for important Trial information.
