Problems Viewing ASPs When Using IIS

Provided by the FMS Development Team

Does this problem sound familiar? Have you recently migrated existing IIS Web Servers to a new installation? Able to view HTM and GIF files but not ASPs?

This problem can be resolved by setting the Application Protection setting to a lower value. Follow the steps below:

  1. Open your copy of Internet Services Manager or the IIS snap-in through the Microsoft Management Console.
  2. Select the Web Site that you are experiencing this problem with, right-click, and select properties.
  3. Next, choose the Home Directory tab. Under the Application Settings section, change the Application Protection to Low (IIS Process).

Thank you! Thank you! I just finished reading this document, which was part of a link in the recent Buzz newsletter. I have printed it for others to read, especially those skeptical on the powers of Access and its capabilities.
